Welcome to AA District 14 serving Aspen, Woody Creek, Snowmass, Basalt, El Jebel, Carbondale, Redstone, Marble, Glenwood Springs, New Castle, Rifle, Parachute, Silt, Eagle, Vail, Minturn, Avon, Beaver Creek, and Edwards.

The purpose of this website is to assist anyone interested in learning about the program of Alcoholics Anonymous and to provide information regarding AA meetings, local events, district business meetings, and other matters of importance to recovering alcoholics.

If you are concerned about your drinking, we sincerely hope you will visit a meeting. We believe you will find many AA members who are happy to answer any questions you may have and listen to whatever is on your mind concerning drinking–no matter how personal or difficult it may be for you to talk about. Connecting with each other and sharing our experience, strength, and hope is a foundational part of our continued recovery.

What is Alcoholics Anonymous?

The A.A. Preamble provides an excellent introduction to what A.A. is all about. The Preamble is often read at the beginning of meetings and communicates the essence of our purpose, what we are, and what we are not.

The A.A. Preamble reads Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization, or institution; does not with to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety. (Copyright The A.A. Grapevine, Inc.)
